xstream & jdk1.5 annotations - continued

It seems my xstream / annotations hack had some success. I've contacted the xstream development team and told them about it, and it was very well received. After a short discussion with the development community we agreed on a more simple to use set of annotations. Joe plans to create a sub-project of xstream to contain extensions different people contributed, and add the annotation hack in there. Meanwhile, Chung-Onn Cheong had some interesting ideas about new annotations and it seems he'll be contributing some code as well.
